Collision Technician, Tactical Response Team

What To Expect

The Tesla Collision Repair Program is seeking an experienced Collision Technician to join the Collision Tactical Response Team. This team quickly deploys to support factory initiatives, manage high backlog locations, and assist with new location openings. This position is home-based but requires frequent travel to support other collision centers and factory operations.

What You'll Do

• Follow proper repair procedures and perform all tasks according to factory specifications
• Use frame equipment for measuring and installing structural components
• Repair exterior cosmetic panels using metal finishing and body filler
• Glue, rivet, and weld structural components
• Remove and replace all parts associated with collision repair, including body, mechanical, electrical, and trim components
• Perform steel and aluminum welding operations: MIG, MAG, STRSW, Dent Puller
• Adhere to all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposal while maintaining a clean, organized work area
• Comply with safety rules, guidelines, and standards

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Collision Repair Technician
• Up to 75% travel capability, including the ability to support up to 3 consecutive weeks when deployed
• Ability to travel with personal tools
• Capable of integrating with multiple different teams on various technical repairs and processes
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues and the public
• Maintain confidentiality and work independently in limited supervision environments
• Willingness to work overtime if required
