What To Expect

The Tesla Collision Repair Program is seeking an experienced Collision Technician to join the Collision Tactical Response Team. This team quickly deploys to support factory initiatives, address high backlog locations, and assist with new location openings. The position is home-based but requires frequent travel to support other collision centers and factory operations.

What You'll Do

• Follow proper repair procedures and perform all tasks according to factory specifications
• Use frame equipment for measuring and installing structural components
• Repair exterior cosmetic panels using metal finishing and body filler
• Glue, rivet, and weld structural components
• Remove and replace all parts associated with collision repair, including body, mechanical, electrical, and trim components
• Perform steel and aluminum welding operations: MIG, MAG, STRSW, Dent Puller
• Adhere to all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposal while maintaining a clean, organized work area
• Comply with safety rules, guidelines, and standards

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Collision Repair Technician
• Up to 75% travel capability, including up to 3 consecutive weeks of deployment
• Ability to travel with personal tools
• Ability to integrate with various teams on diverse technical repairs and processes
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• High level of confidentiality and independent work capabilities
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
