About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative individual to join our team as a Collision Center Blue Printer. In this role, you will work closely with technicians during vehicle teardowns to create accurate and comprehensive repair estimates. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing repair timelines and workflow, working with production teams to ensure efficiency. Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills are essential to contribute to our team and drive the success of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technicians during teardown to write accurate and thorough repair estimates.
  • Research and apply OEM repair procedures to ensure proper and safe repairs.
  • Identify and communicate any parts issues promptly with the parts department.
  • Coordinate with the production team to maintain repair timelines and workflow efficiency.
  • Meet and discuss with insurance field adjusters to review repair plans and secure approvals.
  • Communicate with estimators regarding sublet work and provide accurate estimated completion dates.
  • Manage and oversee technicians to ensure comprehensive 100% vehicle teardowns are performed efficiently and accurately.
  • Negotiate effectively with insurance companies to ensure fair and adequate compensation for repair work.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support overall shop operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in collision repair estimating or blueprinting required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Positive, professional demeanor with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Physically capable of working with computer systems and navigating estimating software.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, repair procedures, and OEM specifications.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working under deadlines and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience working with insurance companies.
  • Proven ability to manage and direct technicians to ensure complete and efficient vehicle teardowns.

  • Competitive salary: $40 to $45 an hour.
