College Intern - Innovation & AI Cohort - Fall 2026 (Multiple Openings)
About the Role
The Fall College Internship Program is a paid co-op/internship experience for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns attend development workshops, network, and work on meaningful projects under the mentorship of their respective managers. The program focuses on key business concepts and offers opportunities in various tracks, including Information Technology, Business Administration, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other technical or non-technical areas.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of an enterprise AI-powered Appeals & Grievances solution in partnership with the Advocacy organization.
- Work on transforming a manual, document-intensive workflow into a streamlined, AI-assisted process for intake, case preparation, clinical review, decision support, and member communications.
- Collaborate with a mentor on key strategic projects.
- Perform non-technical and/or technical tasks covering a broad range of business-related projects.
- Create and deliver a presentation at the completion of the internship.
- Adhere to the company’s mission, values, and code of conduct, maintaining high standards of integrity and member privacy.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required.
Qualifications
- Desired majors: Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar programs.
- Preferred skills or experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and/or Databricks.
- High School diploma and proof of continuous college enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Good academic standing.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and deliver high-quality work.
- Strong teamwork, multitasking, and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and/or stand at a workstation for three or more hours at a time, using a computer, keyboard, mouse, and/or phone.
- Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.
Pay
Level I: Minimum $18.00 - Maximum $20.00
Level II: Minimum $21.00 - Maximum $23.00
Actual salary varies based on factors including budget, experience, skills, education, and internal equity. The total rewards package includes group health/dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time off, and holidays.
