About the role

The College Connection Coordinator supports applicants, admissions counselors, and high schools in creating, implementing, and managing robust pathways leading to degree completion with OSU Institute of Technology concurrent enrollment/early college partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Supports applicants, admissions counselors, and high schools in creating, implementing, and managing robust pathways leading to degree completion with OSU Institute of Technology concurrent enrollment/early college partnerships.
  • Manages multiple priorities under pressure, adaptable to performing under moderate levels of stress imposed by deadlines, peak workload, public/student contact.
  • Works in a sensitive, highly confidential, and professional environment.
  • Uses analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret and comprehend policies and apply knowledge to render accurate decisions.
  • Communicates diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
  • Works independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Solves problems beyond a set of instructions and adapts to changes when necessary; makes appropriate recommendations based on logical and justifiable reasoning.
  • Performs basic math functions.
  • Displays a passion for assisting customers and representing OSUIT and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
  • Exhibits excellent listening skills and customer responsiveness are essential, continually incorporating feedback, ideas and requests.
  • Speaks in front of students, coworkers, and faculty with confidence and experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Minimum of two to three years of progressively responsible work experience, preferably in academic advising, college admissions or related higher education field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and/or customer service-rich environment.
  • Experience related to customer relationship management software, Technolutions Slate, preferred.
  • Experience related to student information system software, Ellucian Banner, preferred.
  • Experience related to learning management system software, Canvas by Instructure, preferred.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
