Arizona College of Nursing is seeking an Admissions Advisor to join our dynamic team at our growing campus. This on-site position offers the opportunity to guide prospective students locally and potentially across the country in their admissions journey.

About the role

As a pivotal member of our team, you will support prospective students in navigating their admissions journey, both locally and potentially on a national scale. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, helping aspiring nurses achieve their educational dreams while contributing to the growth of our rapidly expanding nursing school.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with prospective students, parents, and the community through appointments, telephone, email, and other materials.
  • Welcome prospective students by processing paperwork, interviewing applicants, arranging and conducting campus tours, and performing follow-up activities such as letter writing and phone-calling campaigns.
  • Maintain recruiting operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Adhere to all compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain and develop professional interactions with a wide range of individuals and VIPs, both internal and external.
  • Advise students and families regarding educational opportunities, admission requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist each lead and/or inquiry in an honest, caring, and thorough manner.
  • Conduct effective phone presentations and interviews with each candidate.
  • Increase enrollment percentages through diligent follow-up with prospective students via correspondence and routine phone conversations.
  • Work cooperatively to provide appropriate data for reporting, institutional research, and institutional effectiveness.
  • Maintain the integrity of the student database to ensure accuracy for local records, as well as state and federal reporting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree from an accredited college or university preferred).
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in admissions, retail sales, consumer marketing, or recruitment.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
  • Must be organized, professional, and warm when interacting with potential and current students.
  • Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse community.
  • Knowledge of college admissions procedures and student recruitment and retention issues.
  • Skill in using computerized systems and databases.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.

This position reports to the Executive Director of Enrollment Services and requires considerable interaction with prospective or newly admitted students.
