Job Responsibilities
- Initiate calls to delinquent customers by phone, mail or personal visit to collect payments and settle accounts.
- Follow-up on delinquent accounts, update and maintain accurate financial records including accounting, receivable, and credit records.
- Engage in collection activities for various types of loans such as auto loans, mortgages, Visa, student loans, etc.
- Contact or meet with members to discuss reasons for delinquency, explore repayment options, and verify payment claims.
- Research and engage in skip-tracing activities to locate members.
- Restrict accounts for automatic withdrawals, close lines of credit or credit cards, and recommend loss mitigation options.
- Work with members during the redemption process for vehicle repossessions.
- Handle calls related to vehicle repossessions for redemptions or liquidation of collateral.
- Adhere to company procedures, state and federal regulations, and CFPB guidelines.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with members and supervisors.
- Show strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree required or four years of directly related experience.
- Two years of related experience required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Excel and Word.
- Understanding of regulations and policies regarding debt collection and collection law.
- Preferred knowledge of Akcelerant and DNA systems.

Pay
The good faith range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00 an hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
