About the Role

The Collections Coordinator will facilitate the collection of delinquent accounts, assist local facilities with guidance on outstanding accounts, and manage the initial credit application process. This role ensures efficient, timely, and accurate reporting of financial results to corporate accounting each month, while also providing administrative support to local Sales Managers and General Managers to maintain Account Receivables in line with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor accounts receivable for a specified market area based on company standards.
  • Request and pursue payment on delinquent accounts through communication with customers, identifying accounts requiring external collection efforts.
  • Follow established guidelines to review and update account status and payments.
  • Maintain a log of payment promises and pertinent account details, scheduling follow-up communication with customers.
  • Process credit applications and respond to credit inquiries from external and internal clients.
  • Provide duplicate invoices and customer statements to customers.
  • Coordinate communication with local Sales Managers and Office Managers to address delinquent accounts and disputes, conducting research as needed.
  • Support the AR Standards Committee by reviewing and providing the credit standing of customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable with a concentration in collections preferred.
  • Working understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (with a strong focus on Excel) and Workday.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment with minimal supervision.
