About the role

Stellantis Financial Services (SFS) is the captive finance company for a leading automaker and mobility provider with iconic brands including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep®, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, Vauxhall, Free2move and Leasys. The Team Manager oversees and develops a team responsible for pursuing and collecting overdue automobile loan payments, evaluating collection calls, managing written and digital customer responses, and conducting call analysis and system audits. The role ensures professional customer interactions, efficient resolution of delinquent accounts, and consistent adherence to quality, compliance, and process-improvement standards across collections and quality control activities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee collection teams and direct daily activities, applying auto-dialer strategies to strengthen collection performance.
  • Define work processes, organize tasks, set schedules, and streamline workflow to improve operational efficiency.
  • Assess flagged accounts, including those marked for potential repossession or legal action, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
  • Provide team guidance, support staff with complex collection cases, and recommend effective resolution strategies.
  • Deliver clear instructions, communicate expectations, and offer precise written and verbal direction to staff.
  • Inspect work outputs for accuracy, organization, policy adherence, and alignment with company standards.
  • Foster team cohesion by building collaboration, resolving conflicts, maintaining workplace harmony, and supporting professional development.
  • Screen applicants, conduct interviews, make hiring recommendations, maintain training materials, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive consumer data.

Qualifications

  • Required Experience: Supervisory and leadership experience, minimum 1 year in a supervisory role, 1–2 years in a team lead or leadership capacity, and 2–3 years of related experience. Collections background, minimum 3 years of hands-on collections experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent required.
  • Additional Requirements: Overtime required on an as-needed basis; travel 0–10% as required; reliable transportation and commutable distance to Atlanta, GA or Dallas, TX.
  • Preferred Competencies: Strong communication; professionalism and integrity; proficiency in Microsoft Office, skip tracing tools, and investigative search methods; problem-solving and performance execution; customer-focused solutions; critical-thinking abilities; FDCPA compliance.
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States; SFS will not sponsor work visas for this position.

Physical Demands

  • The role regularly requires sitting; using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; talking or hearing.
  • Occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision.

Work Environment

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
