Collateral Program/Contracts Security Representative

About the role
As a Senior Security Specialist, you will work under the general guidance of the Facility Security Officer (FSO), leadership, and both internal and external customers to support a variety of dynamic programs. This role provides onsite support for the site’s collateral security program, developing and administering security programs and procedures for classified/proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. You will implement federal security regulations, prepare manuals outlining regulations, and establish procedures for handling, storing, and granting access to restricted records and materials.
Responsibilities
- Enforce government and company security policies and provide direction and guidance to program personnel.
- Interface with program managers and team members to address daily security needs.
- Provide prime/subcontractor security support, including developing and maintaining DD254s and security guidance for BAE Systems AMS Headquarters.
- Develop and revise program-level security plans, procedures, and instructions.
- Provide classification guidance, develop and deliver security education and awareness training, and conduct security briefings.
- Participate in security self-inspection teams and audits, and investigate security incidents.
- Support other security disciplines within the collateral and SAP program, including Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Assurance (IA), Communications Security (COMSEC), Operational Security (OPSEC), Document Control, and Visitor Control.
- Interpret government and internal company policies, develop, and implement security plans and procedures using 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and other programmatic instruction manuals.
- Review, draft, and ensure compliance for all collateral DD254s.
- Assist with international requirements, including government-to-government shipments, foreign visitor requirements, and Export Control compliance.
- Provide support during emergencies, conduct combination changes, facility checks, alarm response, and occasional lobby coverage.
- Assist with facility construction and continued accreditation requirements.
- Provide security guidance to company personnel and conduct security clearance indoctrination briefings and debriefings.
- Conduct investigations and interviews related to non-compliance and security violations.
- Participate in teams such as the Site Leadership Team and Insider Threat Local Counsel.
- Complete documentation according to company and government directives.
- Assist with security reviews, including DCSA visits, formal self-inspections, and internal audits of other BAE Systems facilities.
- Support the site’s Information Security (INFOSEC) office with document control and accountability.
- Other duties as assigned.
This role requires full-time, onsite work at a BAE Systems facility due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration.
Requirements
- An active Secret Security Clearance with Top Secret Clearance eligibility.
- 4+ years of relevant security experience.
- National Industrial Security Program (NISP) experience.
- High level of personal motivation and initiative to learn and adapt to an ever-changing security environment.
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with limited supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with DISS, NISS, and SIMS.
- DD254 experience.
- Previous experience with alarm systems.
- Facility Security Officer Program Management for Possessing Facilities Certificate (via CDSE).
- Top Secret security clearance eligibility.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $101,398 - $172,377. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
