About the Role

Impact Staffing International is seeking a Collaboration Administrator – Microsoft Purview to join a client’s Enterprise Collaboration team in Irving, Texas. This position supports a global organization with operations in more than 26 countries. The Enterprise Collaboration team is responsible for Microsoft's collaboration ecosystem, including Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 services. This position is dedicated to Microsoft Purview, focusing on enterprise data governance, information protection, compliance, data classification, and eDiscovery. This individual will serve as the technical bridge between IT, Corporate Compliance, and Legal while helping mature the company’s existing Microsoft Purview environment. The ideal candidate will have deep, hands-on experience implementing and administering Microsoft Purview solutions rather than a general Microsoft security background.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the Microsoft Purview Suite, including governance, permissions, security, compliance, and lifecycle management.
  • Design and implement enterprise data governance and compliance solutions using Microsoft Purview.
  • Develop and maintain: Data Classification, Sensitivity Labels, Retention Policies, Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
  • Configure and administer Microsoft Purview Information Protection (MPIP).
  • Lead eDiscovery initiatives and audit investigations supporting Legal and Corporate Compliance.
  • Monitor and maintain the organization's compliance posture using the Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal.
  • Manage Purview Data Catalog to ensure enterprise data is properly cataloged and governed.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Security, and business stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
  • Build automated governance and compliance workflows using Power Platform and Microsoft technologies.
  • Utilize PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API for automation, reporting, and administration.
  • Support integration between Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview for enterprise data protection.
  • Provide training and subject matter expertise on Microsoft Purview capabilities and data governance best practices.
  • Support the broader Microsoft 365 collaboration environment, including Teams, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across a large global organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable Microsoft Purview administration experience.
  • Strong hands-on Microsoft Purview experience is the primary requirement.
  • 3+ years administering Microsoft 365.
  • At least one year configuring Microsoft security and compliance features including: Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Sensitivity Labels, Retention Policies, eDiscovery, Compliance Management.
  • Deep understanding of: Information Protection, Data Classification, Data Governance, Compliance, eDiscovery.
  • Experience implementing Microsoft Purview solutions in production enterprise environments.
  • Experience integrating Microsoft Defender with Microsoft Purview.
  • Experience with: Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API.
  • Ability to translate business, legal, and compliance requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise or global organizations preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Information Protection & Compliance certification: SC-401 (highly preferred).
  • SC-400, MS-102.
  • Experience supporting a broad Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Experience extending Microsoft Purview governance into Azure, AWS, or on-premises environments.
  • Experience creating advanced compliance automation workflows.
  • Experience leading enterprise data governance or large-scale content migration initiatives.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience mentoring end users and IT staff.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
