Coding Talent Acquisition Partner
About the role
The Coding Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and managing candidates for certified (AAPC or AHIMA certifications) coding opportunities across the organization. This role partners closely with Coding Leadership to build talent pipelines for inpatient, outpatient, physician, specialty, and auditing positions. The recruiter serves as a strategic talent advisor while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a continuous pipeline of coding candidates for current and future openings.
- Source candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and professional coding associations.
- Conduct candidate screenings to assess coding experience, credentials, and organizational fit.
- Coordinate interviews with Coding Managers and Leadership teams.
- Partner with hiring leaders to understand workforce planning needs and recruitment priorities.
- Manage candidate activity within Workday and ensure timely dispositioning of applicants.
- Maintain evergreen pipelines and proactively engage passive candidates.
- Ensure compliance with recruiting policies and employment regulations.
- Track recruiting metrics and provide updates on pipeline health, time-to-fill, and hiring progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Healthcare recruiting experience in Coding Required.
- Experience recruiting for coding roles strongly preferred.
- Experience using ATS systems such as Workday.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
