About the role

The role involves guarding, patrolling, and monitoring venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. This includes operating metal detector equipment, circulating among guests and employees to preserve safety, order, and protect venue property, and escorting individuals to specified locations or providing personal protection.

Responsibilities

• Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order, and protect venue property.
• Maintain security and safety of the premises by monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least 1+ year in a guest service role preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, and occasional sitting, lifting, and carrying 25 lbs+

Additional Tasks

• Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency.
• Assist with verifying staff credentials to generally restricted areas.
• Participate in venue recycling efforts before, during, and after the show.
• Assist patrons by giving directions places inside or outside the venue.
• Ensure guests are safely enjoying the show.
