Cobb - Utility Worker (1st shift, part time)

About the role

This position is responsible for floating to all departments within the Hatchery on an as-needed basis. Most job responsibilities will be in Egg Room/Egg Pack/Sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Fill in departments as needed based on production needs.
• Duties may change or be assigned at any time, with or without notice, daily.
• Chick Processing Department
• Egg Room Department
• Hand transfers, assist with setting eggs, assist with Egg Pack, Egg inventory and dump eggs
• Embrex Department
• Sanitation Department
• Additional tasks that may be assigned are assist sanitation with cleaning of setters, inspecting buggies for cleanliness, assist with cleaning halls
• Biosecurity/Animal Welfare Requirements

Requirements

• Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
• Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Qualifications

• Reside in the United States.
• Previous agricultural or production experience preferred.

Skills

• Physical strength to lift/move 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for the majority of the shift.
• Ability to push/pull 1000-1500 lbs. (on wheels).
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Personal Protective Equipment (Safety glasses, Safety goggles, a face shield, chemical gloves, a waterproof apron, and rubber boots) required when handling chemicals.

Pay

$17.00 per hour plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends.

Schedule

Starting at Two Days a Week. Tuesdays & Fridays, including holidays. (This is a new position, may work more than the two scheduled days a week, up to 30 hours)
