Supply internal/external customers with quality plastic substrate parts used for building complex interiors in our boats.
Responsibilities
- Prep and assemble plastic parts for multiple departments in the production area, meeting quality standards set by Cobalt.
- Tasks may include but are not limited to: sanding, grinding, trimming, stapling, assembling, heat forming, routing on plastic parts in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Cobalt’s safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
Requirements
- General knowledge of operating power tools and hand tools safely.
- Ability to read and execute build instructions from work orders.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform mathematical operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Work Environment
- Moving mechanical parts; vibration; toxic or caustic chemicals; ambient temperatures; sharp objects.
- PPE requirements: safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, hearing protection.
Schedule
Typical 10-hour workdays, frequent overtime required.
