Co-op Component Engineering

About the role

The Co-op Program at Landis+Gyr is designed to blend classroom learning with hands-on experience, offering students the opportunity to work side-by-side with industry experts, contribute to real projects, and explore their potential in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform Component Engineering and Component Test Engineering duties.
• Learn many aspects of reliability engineering, material science, electrical engineering, test engineering, component engineering, hardware development, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Support Engineering Change Requests (sustaining engineering).
• Support component cost reductions (cost and value engineering).
• Create component test fixtures, obtain samples, and perform testing (cost and value engineering).

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Expected graduation date of 2027 or later.

Pay

The pay is in the range of $22.00- $24.00 per hour, increasing each rotation. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.

Schedule

The student will work an alternating semester schedule, completing three rotations before graduation. The exact schedule will be determined based on the student's availability and the needs of the program.

Location

The program is located in Alpharetta, GA, with a full-time, in-office schedule from Monday to Friday, approximately 40 hours per week.
