Engineering Co-op - Component Manufacturing

About the role

Arthrex, Inc., a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics product development and education, is seeking a student pursuing an engineering degree to support the Component Manufacturing team (Engineering Support Services) at its Ave Maria, FL facility. The co‑op will run from January 2027 to June 2027, working 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Run statistical analysis on Minitab.
• Design and implement various projects, such as tool mapping, via Solidworks.
• Assist in the drafting and implementation of standard work instructions.
• Conduct engineering validations.
• Perform destructive testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Enrolled as a full‑time student pursuing an engineering degree or a recent graduate (within six months of graduation).
• Sophomore or junior standing in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Skills

• Effective oral and written communication; ability to resolve technical issues.
• Prior experience with Minitab (preferred).
• Knowledge of PC and Solidworks 3D modeling software (a plus).
• Experience with basic hand tools, manual machines, and CNC machines (preferred).
