Co-Op Engineering

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Mechanical and Electro/Mechanical. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering.
• Participate in tests, troubleshooting, and most engineering areas as required by supervisor.
• Investigate opportunities to increase production throughput.
• Document existing and new engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct verification and validation testing by collecting several types of data under the direction of the appropriate product engineer. Compile test data and compose test reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or may be necessary to maintain flow of work.
• Evaluate manufacturing assembly, testing, and packaging activities relative to product lines.
• Support the development and documentation of standard procedures, design standardization, and engineering change notices.
• Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
• Participate in cross functional teams, failure investigations and corrective action/preventive actions.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for other departments as required and resolve problems with components and products with only limited supervision.
• Aid other departments as necessary by providing either CAD, mechanical drafting or free-hand artwork for internal company use.
