Full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Store Manager. Open availability preferred; shift work includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
About the role
Assists the Store Manager in ensuring the store operates at company standards while driving positive earnings. Directly supervises sales workers and oversees management functions such as purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and personnel. Leads safety, security, and sanitation programs in compliance with company policy.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager with daily operations and overall store performance.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Supervise, coach, and support employees to ensure productivity and company standards are met.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure employees are properly trained and held accountable.
- Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, and other personnel responsibilities.
- Monitor sales, inventory, ordering, merchandising, and product availability.
- Maintain accurate cash handling, deposits, records, and other financial procedures.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, properly stocked, and safely maintained.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, food safety, sanitation, security, and safety procedures.
- Assist with receiving, vendor check-in, pricing, markdowns, and inventory control.
- Open and close the store as scheduled and ensure proper completion of daily closing procedures.
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales, profit, labor, and operational goals.
- Lead by example and promote a positive, professional, customer-focused work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the store.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. One to two years of related experience.

Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the store.
- Regularly lift and carry merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
- Occasionally climb ladders or step stools, push/pull carts and equipment, and work in refrigerated or freezer areas.
