Assists store manager in ensuring the store operates at company standards. Directs sales workers and manages store operations.

Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to inquiries and complaints.
Maintain records of purchases, sales, and requisitions.
Enforce safety, health, and security rules.
Recruit, interview, hire, train, evaluate personnel performance, demote, promote, and terminate store employees.
Ensure all employees know, understand, and follow company policies and standards.
Measure performance, evaluate, and take corrective action.
Instruct staff on handling difficult and complicated sales.
Achieve sales and profit objectives through example and leadership.
Examine merchandise to ensure correct pricing, display, and functionality.
Organize, calculate, and accurately enter daily sales information.
Control store expenses, plan budgets, authorize payments, and merchandise returns.
Prevent theft and maintain inventory levels.
Prepare end of the week reports and verify all hours worked.
Complete shift-checkout reports and notify supervisor of bank deposits.
Order and maintain merchandise to prevent out of stocks.
Build and maintain displays that are sellable.
Prepare and maintain perishable foods according to company standards.
Perform other job-related tasks as requested.

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
One to two years of related experience
Computer Skills
Physical Abilities: Lift/carry up to 10 lbs frequently, stand, walk, sit, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, bend, push/pull up to 25 lbs occasionally
