About the Role

PFI Precision, Inc. is looking for a dynamic, talented CNC Supervisor looking for a challenging career opportunity. This is a hands-on position that will require some direct production work. The CNC Supervisor will oversee the entire second shift, including other departments, supervising approximately 7-9 employees.

Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 pm – 2:30 am

Essential Functions

  • Set up multiple Turning or Milling Machining Centers (CNC Machines) involving intricate tooling in a wide range of close tolerance applications.
  • Assist in devising methods of machining new and difficult jobs.
  • Assist in scheduling and ordering tooling.
  • Instruct and train others.
  • Diagnose and correct problems of basic to medium difficulty, quickly and efficiently.
  • Make programming and job improvements.
  • Maintain production rate as documented in the process instructions.
  • Improve 5S activity in your area of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Oversee the entire second shift including other departments.

Additional Functions/Responsibilities

  • Assist, as needed, in other functional areas of machining.
  • Work greater than 40 hours per week as required.
  • Responsible for supervising and directing all employees in CNC area.
  • Provide effective daily communication to first shift Supervisor, Managers and Maintenance.
  • Provide optimal quality of service to all customers – internal and external.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines as required.
  • Utilize personal and assigned tools to perform work assignments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives.
  • Hold team accountable in compliance with our ISO9000 quality system and Employee Handbook.

Minimum Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5-10+ years prior CNC manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
