Erie Industrial Products (EIP) – Oberlin, OH Full-Time | Onsite | 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM Lead. Machine. Mentor. Make an Impact. Erie Industrial Products is seeking an experienced CNC 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead our evening machining operations. This is a hands-on, working supervisor position for an accomplished CNC machinist who enjoys developing people, solving technical challenges, and staying involved on the shop floor. If you're the person others turn to when a difficult setup needs to be completed, a machine isn't running correctly, or a challenging part needs to be produced, this could be the next step in your career. What You'll Do As our CNC 2nd Shift Supervisor, you'll lead the team while remaining actively involved in machining operations. You will: Lead, coach, and support CNC machinists and operators on second shift Perform complex CNC setups on mills and lathes Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and programming issues Edit CNC programs at the machine as needed Optimize cycle times, tooling, feeds, speeds, and workholding Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings Coordinate production priorities, workflow, and daily assignments Ensure finished parts meet quality specifications and customer requirements Train and develop machinists to strengthen technical skills and team performance Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Partner with production, quality, and engineering to resolve manufacturing challenges Perform additional duties as assigned What We're Looking For 7+ years of CNC machining experience Previous experience leading machinists or manufacturing employees Advanced CNC setup and troubleshooting skills Experience working with both CNC mills and lathes Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Ability to edit CNC programs at the machine Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment Strong leadership, communication, and problemsolving skills Ability to prioritize work and keep production moving in a fastpaced manufacturing environment Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus Why Join Erie Industrial Products?
