About the role
Manufactures high-quality optics for hunters, shooters, law enforcement, and military personnel. Operates and adjusts machinery, troubleshoots issues, and trains operators.
Responsibilities
- Performs complex setup operations for all departmental equipment.
- Operates and adjusts all departmental equipment.
- Ensures parts are made to print through set ups, adjustments, and troubleshooting on various machine tools.
- Assists Lead Person in trouble-shooting problems with programs, tooling, fixtures, and out-of-print parts.
- Checks critical dimensions of parts using CMM, QC gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Performs First Article Inspections using applied understanding of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Trains operators and oversees operator's work as assigned, including equipment set up and adjustments.
- Performs equipment readiness tasks.
- Assists manufacturing support teams with problem solving activities.
- Enters part quantities and work order information in software system using PC and moves parts to next operation.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area, safe work environment, and notifies safety representative, Lead, or Supervisor of unsafe conditions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 years' experience with machining and manufacturing or formal apprenticeship and 2 years of machining and manufacturing experience required.
- Able to read, understand, and follow work instructions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Intermediate Blueprint Reading and strong shop math skills required.
- Knowledge of Win SPC, Documentum, and Jira required.
- Must be able to interpret and apply GDT.
- CNC programming knowledge.
- Proficiency in with Windows Office and use of Personal Computer required.
Qualifications
- Ability to use PPE.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
- Good manual dexterity, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to use full range of motion.
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds with assistance.
Skills

Pay
Base Rate $32.00-$35.00 + $3.00 Shift Differential
Schedule
Wednesday-Saturday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM
