About the role
The CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) Programmer is responsible for creating and implementing high-quality CNC programs for production operations using CAD/CAM and other software. This role involves verifying program accuracy, supporting the production floor with process improvements, tooling management, and cost reduction.
Responsibilities
- Write and/or modify CNC programs and instruction sheets for multi-axis machined parts.
- Monitor program performance after implementation and adjust as needed.
- Maintain program files and provide ongoing support for machining processes.
- Assist in training operators on equipment and programs.
- Identify and evaluate new tooling and fixture applications.
- Set up and operate machines for trial runs (prove-out) to verify accuracy.
- Document setup and operation information for each assigned job.
- Communicate effectively with manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, plant staff, and external individuals.
- Program part families on a continual basis.
- Complete other work-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD/CAM programming.
- Experience as a level 3 machinist.
- Proficiency in computer skills and electronic data management (Word, Excel, network file structure).
- Working knowledge of cutting tool geometry, speeds and feeds for various materials.
- Working knowledge of trigonometry and mathematical formulas for machining processes.
- Working knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Able to interact with operators, machinists, technical support, and management.
- Experience with Esprit programming software and SolidWorks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree.
- 4-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with multi-axis milling machines.

Pay
USD $25.00 - USD $45.00 per hour.
