CNC Operator Junior

Key Responsibilities

• Intermediate knowledge of reading production instructions, processes, and procedures, including interpreting and translating engineering designs and documentation.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders, to produce parts according to blueprints, specifications, and holding of part tolerances.
• Intermediate identification and knowledge of basic fixturing, changing fixtures, tooling, and tooling offsets.
• Understand G and M Codes and make necessary edits for speeds/feeds.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as mics and calipers to ensure that parts meet quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve production processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly working environment.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Good handeye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Basic math skills along with mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and follow verbal and written directions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Required Education and Experience

• A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• One to three years of CNC machine operations in a manufacturing environment.

Working Environment

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations.
• Frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds without help.
