Junior CNC Machinist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Learn to study designs of Press Tools and Plastic Injection molds, and prototype parts and visualize shape, mechanical structure, and operation of the die and mold.
• Understand application of Jigs and Fixtures.
• Learn machine set-ups, adjusting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut, to machined parts to specifications set forth in designs, engineering orders, etc.
• Learn to check machined parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances.

Qualifications

• Be willing and able to follow instruction.
• Set-up and safely operate Vertical Milling Machines, Surface Grinders, Overhead Cranes, Saws.
• Proficient aptitude and basic hand tool experience.
• Able to aid in moving, disassembling, cleaning molds and components in a safe manner.
• Understand the importance of accurate documentation and follow described methods and procedures.
• Recognize the challenges of the trade and demonstrate a willingness to learn and desire to advance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear.
• Ability to lift 5 - 50 pounds.
