Job Details

Join a precision toolroom Team building custom tooling, complex setups, and high-level CNC machining projects!

  • Set up and operate CNC machines and equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision parts to specifications.
  • Read, interpret, and follow complex blueprints, engineering plans, and geometric dimensions and tolerances to design and troubleshoot machining tasks.
  • Use precision measurement tools to inspect and verify the accuracy of machined parts, ensuring strict adherence to quality control standards.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages to keep the machinery running smoothly.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software to program machines for production, adjusting settings as necessary to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with the engineering department to develop and execute machining strategies for new product lines.
  • Perform tooling, including selecting appropriate tools and materials for the job, and ensuring tools are sharp and in good condition.
  • Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in machining tasks, adjusting when necessary.
  • Apply knowledge of tool and die and toolmaking to create and modify tools for specialized machining tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and engineering plans.
  • Advanced knowledge of machine programming and operation, including CAD/CAM software.
  • Skilled in precision measurement and equipment calibration.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and protocols.
  • Experience with lathe operation, tooling, and machine setup.
  • Expertise in tool and die and toolmaking techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a relevant field or a vocational training certificate is preferred.
