CNC Machinist – Kansas City, KS (3PM to 11PM M-F)

A&K Railroad Materials Inc. is searching for a self-motivated CNC Machinist to join our expanding team. For over 65 years, we’ve been a leader in rail manufacturing, delivering quality products while fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and G-code, and the confidence to problem-solve on the spot. You’ll work with 3 and 5-axis CNC machines, ensuring precise execution of machining tasks while maintaining high production standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce rail components with precision.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and machine specifications to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect finished products, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments.
• Utilize manual tools and equipment as needed to support production.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
