CNC Machinist - Day Shift

About the role

We are growing and are excited to have you join our team as a CNC Machinist. You will be part of a strong and collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in Steel Works, Automation, and Finishing.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC machining equipment
• Loading and unloading raw materials and finished parts
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical specifications
• Making measurements and verifying part dimensions using precision tools
• Inspecting finished products for quality compliance
• Performing routine machine maintenance
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Supporting inventory and production needs as assigned

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of CNC machining experience
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Physical requirements: prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Skills: strong attention to detail and focus; ability to learn new technology and processes; effective time management and prioritization skills; commitment to continuous improvement and the DeGeest Stronger Standard; strong communication skills (read, write, and speak English); ability to work in changing priorities and fast-paced environments; understanding of safety procedures and requirements; ability to perform physical work in a manufacturing environment

Pay

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for a bonus.

Schedule

Shift: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday
