CNC Machinist

About the role

Whelan Machine is a mission-critical supplier of high-precision machining for the U.S defense industrial base. We offer quarterly incentive pay and the opportunity to work in our new and improved 70,000-square foot facility.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• 5-10 years of work experience in CNC machining
• High school diploma or equivalent with additional technical training or apprenticeship

Qualifications

• Normal vision and hearing
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Basic business math skills

Skills

• Technical skills: Reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and CAD/CAM files; understanding of machine processes and CNC programming
• Attention to detail: Ensuring precision in measurements and adherence to specifications
• Problem-solving: Identifying and troubleshooting machine malfunctions or production issues
