What You’ll Do
- Work hands-on in a dynamic shop environment
- Produce high-quality aerospace components using a mix of CNC and conventional machining
- Mill, drill, bore, and ream parts from extrusions, forgings, plate, and assemblies
- Operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines with various controls
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering orders, and technical instructions
- Set up machines (with varying levels of independence depending on experience level)
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet exact specifications
- Perform basic CNC program control at the machine
- Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain equipment calibration
- Troubleshoot machining and quality issues
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, tooling, and scheduling teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while following all PPE requirements
Qualifications
- Multi-Axis (3, 4, 5)
- Siemens Controls and/or Zimmerman or Bavius Machines experience
- Makino/Mag experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures
- Willingness to learn CNC machining, shop math (SAE & Metric), and precision measurement tools
Pay Details
- $20.00 to $32.00 per hour
