Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting CNC machines, as well as programming them using g-code. You will also be tasked with using precision measuring tools to ensure the quality of our products. This role is key to our operations and requires a meticulous and detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of CNC machines.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
  • Understanding specifications of the task at hand by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
  • Preparing and loading raw materials and parts onto the machines.
  • Supervising the machines while they execute the tasks and making any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
  • Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
  • Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving machine-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Programming CNC machines with g-code, ensuring optimal performance and output.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC machine setup and operation.
  • Familiarity with g-code programming.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, relevant certification or degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of producing quality work within deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job/task.
  • Able to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
