About the role
This role is for a CNC Machinist who owns the process—from setup through inspection—not someone who just hits cycle start.
Responsibilities
- Set up and run CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines with confidence.
- Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T and know what those numbers really mean on the floor.
- Make offsets and basic program edits on controls like Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak.
- Choose tooling, dial in cutting parameters, and handle fixture setup and part changeovers.
- Run first article inspections and in-process checks using micrometers, calipers, bore and height gauges.
- Keep machines healthy with basic preventative maintenance and a sharp eye for problems.
Requirements
- 3–10+ years of CNC machining experience.
- Comfortable doing setups—not just loading parts.
- Strong understanding of feeds/speeds, materials (steel, aluminum, stainless), and tooling.
- Proven reliability, attention to detail, and a serious quality mindset.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while still being a solid team player.
Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/CAM (Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.)
- Multi-axis (4th/5th), prototype, or short-run work.
- A track record of reducing scrap and tightening cycle times.
