About the role
Set up and operate CNC mills and turn mill equipment to machine precision metal components to exact specifications.
Responsibilities
- Read and follow drawings, work instructions, and machining requirements
- Select tooling, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters
- Measure finished parts using micrometers and precision inspection tools
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments
- Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and machining issues
- Support CNC programming and verify new programs
- Perform minor preventive maintenance
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing to improve quality and efficiency
Requirements
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience in metal manufacturing
- Hands-on CNC milling and/or turn mill experience
- Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment
- Ability to produce precision parts to tight specifications
- Experience using micrometers and precision measuring instruments
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feeds
- Ability to read technical drawings and manufacturing instructions
- Ability to complete first shift training before transitioning permanently to second shift
Pay
Hourly rate: $25 – $30 USD
