CNC Machinist 2nd shift

About the role

The CNC Machinist 2nd shift is needed to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. This role requires experience in programming, setup, and operation of CNC Mills and CNC Lathes, especially in manufacturing complex aerospace components from exotic materials.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts.
• Experience in manufacturing complex aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium, is preferred.
• Experience with 5-axis and/or mill-turn machines is preferred.
• Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing R&D environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED with at least 1 year of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.
• Able to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Eligible for a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 5 axis machining on Fanuc, Siemens 840D controls and MAPS programming.
• Experience with SURFCAM, Edgecam or Catia.
• Experience machining in a prototype environment.

Benefits

Pay Range: $40,300.00 - $72,850.00
