CNC Machine Setup Programmer

About the role

Responsible for preparing and maintaining setups for precision parts on conventional lathes.

Responsibilities

• Pull necessary tooling, set work offsets, and load raw materials and work holding.
• Upload, download, and prove out programs; modify as needed.
• Perform manual G-code programming and create/update setup sheets.
• Use inspection equipment (RAM, Comparator, CMM) to ensure quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety and ISO standards.
• Perform other duties related to machine setup and quality assurance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficient machine operator with 2–5 years of CNC experience and understanding of materials and coordinate systems.
• Basic GD&T knowledge; G-code, M-code, and Mazatrol programming skills.
• Ability to finish parts within tolerances and create inspection processes.
• Ability to remove and sharpen tooling and edit programs.
• Physical capability to handle objects over 50 pounds and work standing or walking for extended periods.

Additional Information

The role involves manual programming, equipment maintenance, record keeping, and adherence to safety standards. Training is available for select candidates, with opportunities for advancement.
