Job Duties
- Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes using CAD/CAM software.
- Develop G & M code programs with Fanuc-style controls to produce precision parts from engineering drawings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and GD&T specifications.
- Select tooling and perform machine setups to ensure efficient production.
- Produce high-quality machined parts while meeting customer specifications.
- Partner with Engineering to manufacture custom components.
- Work closely with Quality to troubleshoot and resolve machining or inspection issues.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment operating efficiently.
- Implement improved machining techniques and best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Train and mentor new CNC programmers and setup personnel as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience programming and operating Haas CNC mills and lathes.
- Strong knowledge of G & M code programming and Fanuc controls.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments including micrometers and thread micrometers.
- Strong math skills with experience working in metric measurements.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
