Key Activities/Responsibilities

Review work orders, pull necessary equipment, position work pieces, and operate various machines through production runs to form specified quantities to defined tolerances.
Analyze and interpret blueprints, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
Plan machine setups, position work pieces, and operate various machines through production runs to form specified quantities of piece parts to specified tolerances.
Deburr parts as needed.
Monitor machine functions to ensure that parts are manufactured to defined specifications.
Perform first piece inspections and make necessary adjustments to machines to ensure parts are formed to designated tolerances.
Complete inspection reports as required and repair any defects found and document critical quality information as necessary.
Perform preventative maintenance and ensure machines are operating optimally.
Communicate with managers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve quality issues.
Acknowledge outstanding issues either in writing or verbally to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
Cross-train in other areas of Operations (assembly, shipping and receiving) to develop proficiency in multiple areas in response to business needs changing.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives and advise.
Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Certificate in Machining Technologies or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/specifications.
Ability to perform various machining operations in accordance with part specifications.

Pay

Anticipated hourly wage: $20/hour - 21/hour depending on level of previous experience.
