CNC Machine Operator

About the role

This position involves operating and maintaining CNC plasma cutter, end mill, press brake, shear, saws, and potentially welding equipment. Forklift operation is also required.

Responsibilities

• Programming and operation of CNC plasma cutter using AutoCAD and nesting software
• Loading and operating plasma cutter
• Ensuring quality of cut parts before they enter production
• Assisting with part development by revising CADs as needed for fitment
• Maintaining and servicing machines on a monthly basis
• Assisting with light diagnostics and repairs of various equipment
• Variety of other machine operations including end mill, press brake, shear, saws, and possibly welding
• Forklift operation for loading/unloading and moving materials and parts

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC plasma cutter and related software
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
• Basic forklift operation certification
