Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes, mills, and other machining equipment
- Set up machines according to work instructions, blueprints, and specifications
- Load raw materials and monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Perform routine machine adjustments and tool changes as needed
- Identify and report quality issues, equipment malfunctions, and process improvements
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, quality personnel, and maintenance teams to meet production goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Basic understanding of machining processes, tooling, and quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials and finished parts
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands
Pay
Starting pay is $27.25/hr and requires completion of 9 month machining training program or equivalent.
