CNC Machine Operator

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC lathes, mills, and other machining equipment
  • Set up machines according to work instructions, blueprints, and specifications
  • Load raw materials and monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Perform routine machine adjustments and tool changes as needed
  • Identify and report quality issues, equipment malfunctions, and process improvements
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, quality personnel, and maintenance teams to meet production goals

  Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Basic understanding of machining processes, tooling, and quality standards
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials and finished parts
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures

  Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands

  Pay

  Starting pay is $27.25/hr and requires completion of 9 month machining training program or equivalent.
