CNC Grinding Set - up Operator

About the role

Fives Landis Corp - CITCO Tools manufactures high-precision diamond cutting and dressing tools used in demanding automotive, aerospace, medical, and other industrial applications. This hands-on machining position requires precision grinding expertise, pride in producing quality work, and comfort working with tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC grinding equipment
• Load and secure workpieces and select appropriate tooling
• Monitor the grinding process and make machine or program adjustments as needed
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify part accuracy
• Make G-code edits when required
• Maintain tooling, wheel usage records, and production documentation
• Perform routine machine maintenance and replace worn tooling

Requirements

• Previous CNC machining or grinding experience preferred
• Experience operating Walter, Agathon, Waida, Vollmer, or Ewag grinding equipment especially valuable
• G-code programming experience a plus
• Ability to work independently, solve machining problems, and consistently produce precision work

Schedule & Pay

• 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• 2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
• Pay: Starting $25+ per hour, competitive based on experience, qualifications, and CNC expertise
• Shift differential: $2 per hour for 2nd shift
