CNC Field Service Engineer

About the role

Provide installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance support for CNC machine tools at customer sites nationwide. Ensure optimal machine performance and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Install new CNC machines, including options and accessories
• Perform machine leveling, geometry checks, and adjustments
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and application issues
• Identify root causes; recommend repairs or replacements
• Offer on-site and remote technical support via various channels
• Assist customers, distributors, and internal teams with technical guidance
• Provide customer training and support project coordination
• Support at trade shows and events as needed
• Maintain detailed service documentation
• Travel extensively, including overnights and weekends

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC machine maintenance and service experience
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with CNC control systems, especially FANUC
• Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of power circuits and industrial electrical systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and travel extensively
