CNC Field Service Engineer

About the Role

Our CNC Manufacturing Client in Mundelein, IL is seeking a CNC Field Service Engineer to join their trusted, hard-working, and growing team. This role involves extensive travel within the USA, Canada, and Mexico to support customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field service at customer facilities, ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of CNC tool & cutter grinding machines.
• Provide comprehensive support to customers onsite, by phone, and via email, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues promptly and effectively.
• Perform installation of CNC grinding machines at customer facilities.

Requirements

• Technical field service experience with CNC grinding machinery, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting machine problems both on-site and remotely, including answering customer inquiries regarding maintenance, mechanical/electrical drawings, and part identification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience.
• Ability to interpret and comprehend electrical, mechanical, and other technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and fluid power circuits is preferred.
• Expect up to 80% travel within the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Pay

$33–40+/hr, based on experience. Opportunity for overtime.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Potential for travel outside work hours.
