CNC CAM Programmer – Precision Tooling (VMC)

About the role

The CNC CAM Programmer is responsible for designing, programming, and modifying toolpaths for precision tooling using VMC machines. This position requires a strong background in CNC programming and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify toolpaths for precision tooling on VMC machines
• Work closely with engineers to ensure that all designs meet the required specifications
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in programming processes
• Stay updated with the latest software and technology trends in CNC programming

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC programming
• Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Experience with VMC machines
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Understanding of tooling design principles
