CNC Programmer (CAM)

Key Responsibilities
- Utilizing PowerMILL CAM software to generate g code programs for CNC machines
- Identify and troubleshoot machining process issues and provide countermeasures/solutions
- Implement tooling and process improvements to reduce cycle time and improve machining quality
- Perform Time/Performance studies to quantify process improvements and identify areas for process improvement/cost reductions
- Perform tests, gather data, and write reports utilizing various mediums (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Develop and maintain training materials on die repair machining processes
- Afford assistance with hands-on training for machining/programming tasks and updating process documentation
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software; as well as Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule
- Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment
- Ability to work in a team setting with Supervisor, Engineers, and Technicians
- Ability to develop and execute a detailed plan
- Ability to read and comprehend basic English
- Ability to follow instructions
- Strong Problems solving skills and efficient management of time and resources
- Basic understanding of die repair process and workflow
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree in engineering or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Prior CNC programming experience
- Experience with 2D/3D CAD systems and PowerMILL CAM software preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred
