About the role

The CNA will provide activities of a physical, social, mental and spiritual nature tailored to the individual abilities, needs, and desires of participants in order to enable them to benefit from the adult day program offerings and environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of a physical, social, mental and spiritual nature tailored to the individual abilities, needs, and desires of participants in order to enable them to benefit from the adult day program offerings and environment.
• Ensure all participants receive proper medication administration as per their care plans.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for all participants.
• Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) certification from the New Jersey Department of Health & Senior Services, in good standing.
• High School graduate or GED required.
• Minimum of (1) year geriatric experience in ADC, long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Ability to deal with others in a diplomatic, tactful and confidential manner.
• Ability to read, write, and be understood in the English language.
• Flu vaccine required during flu season.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid NJ driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of geriatric care and health conditions.
• Basic computer skills.

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm

Pay

$22.90 - $31.53 hourly rate (depending on experience)

About The Team

Parker Adult Day Center (Highland Park) Parker offers two Adult Day programs in Highland Park to address the issues of loneliness and isolation experienced by many elders who are aging at home. Social Program employees provide varied and vibrant activities that encourage and motivate seniors to stay connected to their peers, maintain their independence, bringing meaning and enjoyment to their days. Our Medical Program provides the added benefits of individualized medication administration, support services, personal and therapeutic care. Parker Adult Day Center is staffed with people who are committed to meeting the needs of our program participants. Our nursing staff and social workers create individualized care plans to provide the best possible medical care, from blood pressure checks to medication management. Program participants benefit from peer relationships and socialization as well as interactions with our dedicated care partners.
