CNA- OLGMC 8S Med Surg- Full Time Nights

About the role

We're seeking a supportive team member to assist in maintaining patient safety and delivering basic care. You'll work closely with nurses and interact with patients, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support the plan of care as directed by the nurse.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Complete documentation of patient-related tasks.
• Adapt to different patient populations and situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Hospital and telemetry experience.
• Required: CNA certification and BLS and CPI certifications within 30 days of hire.

• Proficiency in computer and software applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical and Environmental Demands

The job involves routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues. It also includes exposure to hazardous medications and waste. The incumbent works in a patient care area and interacts directly with patients.
