CNA-NAR Trainee (Hire to Train)

About the role

Benedictine sponsors CNA-NAR training classes at no cost. As an associate, you will receive the tools and skills needed to succeed as a Certified Nursing Assistant, get paid while you train, and earn certification upon completion. Trainees must attend all scheduled classes and pass the state required certification test.

Responsibilities

• Collect initial and ongoing data on all residents and report condition changes to the RN or LPN.
• Communicate and interact with residents, families, and other health team members.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in and attending a CNA-NAR training program, or hired into a Benedictine NA training program.
• Eligible to be on the State Nursing Assistant registry (or appropriate entity) pending successful completion of training.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• BLS Certification.

Pay

Wage range: $22.60 – $24.10 per hour. Final compensation is based on skills, education, and/or experience, with consideration of internal pay equity. Entry‑level candidates typically start at the lower end of the range; hiring at the maximum is not typical.

Schedule

FTE varies; part‑time and full‑time positions are available upon successful completion of the CNA course and passing the state CNA exams.
