Responsibilities
- Prepare, administer and accurately document routinely scheduled and PRN non-injectable medications per physician order and facility protocols.
- Record vital signs, monitor for reactions, and immediately report changes in condition to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain cleanliness, organize med cart/cabinets, and ensure adherence to state infection control protocols.
- Auxiliary patient care, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, and dining, and accurately documenting care provided.
Qualifications
- Active, and in good standing, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license on the Maine registry.
- Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant-Medication training program.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Career focus on healthcare with experience working within a nursing home, assisted living, or hospital preferred.
