About the role

Join our team as a CNA/Med Tech and participate in our Mission of the Heart by helping to serve others. This part-time position supports our Memory Support unit with shifts on 7a-3p and 3p-11p. You will provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by the Supervisor, while preserving residents' dignity, honoring resident rights, providing good customer service, communicating appropriately, and adhering to federal and state compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients/residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting, and other resident needs.
• Ensure daily tasks are completed: beds are made, trash is removed from rooms, meals are served, and a high level of hygiene is maintained.
• Take vital signs and report observations or changes in condition to the nurse.
• Practice Infection Prevention and Control measures in compliance with Federal, State, and Facility requirements.
• Document in the CNA ECS flow-sheet timely, accurately, and completely.
• Make routine and frequent rounds to ensure safety precautions and equipment are in place and in working order.
• Prevent skin problems or breakdown by providing timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning of residents needing assistance.
• Assist the Activities Department with resident activities.

Requirements

• Must be a certified nurse’s aide in accordance with Florida laws.
• Medical Technician Certified.
• CPR Certified.
• Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably with a minimum of 6 months of experience.

Pay

Starting pay of $17.55/hour with additional pay for experience.

Schedule

Part-time with shifts available on 7a-3p and 3p-11p.
